Days of our Lives Recap March 28, 2024: Today on Days of our Lives – It’s Jude’s christening day. Nicole and EJ have a rough start with Holly. Marlena tries to get John to forgive himself. Melinda reminds Leo to keep his mouth shut. Brady and Roman share a moment of support.

Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 28, 2024

Nicole and EJ are all set to head to the christening, but then Holly barges in unprepared and announces she’s not going. Nicole reminds her they’re going as a family. Holly says she doesn’t have the energy and the idea of being around so many people makes her want to explode.

She insists she’ll be fine, she just needs to pull herself together. Nicole says if Holly’s not going, she’s not going either. Then EJ is like, “Bloody hell” as he says he is not going either and they can all just stay home.

Holly thinks this is crazy and tells them they can’t miss the christening. They manage to convince her to get ready, and she promises to meet them there.

Melinda Tells Leo to Zip It

Melinda bumps into Leo in the town square. He’s all dressed up and carrying a gift for the little boy. He asks why as Godmother she doesn’t have a gift.

Melinda asks if he’s really going to the event, and he assures her he is. She reminds him that he needs to keep his big mouth shut if he wants to stay out of prison. Leo calls her tacky for bringing up his little deal with Sloan.

Sloan and Eric are at home, super pumped about Jude’s christening. Then Sloan kind of brings the mood down by mentioning how tough it is for her to have Nicole hosting the bash at the mansion. She just can’t shake off the memory of Nicole kidnapping Jude whenever she sees her.

But later, Sloan apologizes for being such a buzzkill about Nicole hosting the christening party and promises to take the high road because she’s positive it’s going to be an awesome celebration for their little boy.

Eric then gets a call that Aunt Kayla won’t be able to make it because the hospital is short-staffed. After that, Melinda swings by with a little something for Jude, and Eric tells her that as the godmother, she’ll have to carry Jude to the front of the chapel at the beginning of the service. She tells him she’d be absolutely honored.

The Brady Pub

Theresa and Brady are having breakfast at the Brady Pub. She tells him that Godfather has a nice ring to it. Theresa gives Tate a call to tell him she will come visit him after the christening, while his dad will come see him after the party.

He asks about Holly, and his mom tells him he should not be worried about her. He should be thinking about school work instead of the girl who got him into this mess. 

Roman and Kate are there, and Roman says he’s all set for the christening, but not so ready for the bash at the DiMeras. He tells Brady that he’s really glad he agreed to be Jude’s Godfather when Eric asked.

John and Marlena are totally ready for the baby’s christening. She’s suggests taking a vacation to Aloha. But he’s onto her, trying to distract him from his guilt. He confesses that taking a young girl’s life is a burden he’ll carry forever.

Marlena reminds him that he has no memory of it and they don’t know the whole truth. She’s not having him beat himself up and tells him it’s hurting her, too.

Marlena urges him to forgive himself, but he’s not sure he can. She pleads with him to set aside the guilt for just one day and focus on the joy of the celebration, at least for her. He promises to do it for her.

Leo shows up at St. Luke’s and runs into Father Bernard. The Father wonders if Leo’s come for a confession, but Leo notes he’s actually there for the christening. Father Bernard leaves Leo with the thought that it’ll take a community of good, kind, and honest people to raise the kid.

John and Marlena arrive and spot Leo, hoping he’s not there to stir up trouble. Then Roman, Theresa, and Brady show up, with Theresa talking about steering clear of EJ and Nicole and paying a visit to Tate after the christening. Just then, EJ and Nicole walk in.

Later, Sloan, Melinda, and Eric arrive with Baby Jude, and Eric thanks everyone for being there on Jude’s special day. Leo promises that he’s not on reporting duty and whatever happens today is off the record.

John confesses to Marlena that he’s struggling to be in church, and Marlena promises to support him every step of the way.

Holly arrives, asking Brady and Theresa about Tate, and Theresa snaps back about Tate doing great despite the ankle monitor and restraining order. Brady steps in to stop Theresa from being tough on the young girl.

Father Bernard begins the ceremony, but Nicole can’t help flashing back to giving birth to her little boy. Later, Leo interrupts the ceremony, saying he has something important to say that can’t wait.
