Shemar Moore, best known for his roles on S.W.A.T., Criminal Minds, and as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless, took to Threads to share an unfortunate update: one of his cars was stolen.
Shemar Moore’s Car Stolen
In a candid video, Moore recounted the incident with a mix of frustration and perspective. “Life is beautiful. Life can be kind of shady—but today was a shady day,” he began.
The actor explained that he had been spending time with his daughter, her mother Jesiree, and their family when the theft occurred. “I was playing, I was hanging, I was doing family time with the dog. We had a beautiful few hours. And I walked outside to go home—and my car was gone.”
The Car that Was Stolen
Moore clarified that while he owns a few vehicles, this particular car—a customized black Rolls-Royce Dawn—was special. “It’s a murdered-out black, drop-top, two-door Rolls. Red brakes. 24-inch wheels. It’s a beautiful car,” he said. “I’m not bragging—it is what it is. I work hard, I got what I got.” He added, “But it’s just a violation. It’s unnecessary. It’s disrespectful.”
The theft came not long after Moore revealed he had undergone foot surgery. “So if you look at my last post, my foot’s a little wonky because God took a nap on my feet,” he joked. “So I’m fixing my foot.
There you go,” he said as he showed his foot wrapped in bandages.
While visibly frustrated, Moore kept the situation in perspective: “It’s not the end of the world. It’s not somebody I love. It’s not my daughter.
Not my friends. It’s not family. It’s a material possession. But whoever took it—karma’s a bitch.”
A Police Report
He also added, “I’ve never had a car stolen. I’ve had bad things happen in life. I’ve had things stolen from me. But never a car.” Moore noted, “I went to the police station tonight and filed a report. I got insurance and all that stuff. I’m a smart guy. I covered myself. But it’s just a shitty feeling.”
He said, “I walk out from playing with my daughter. And I’m on one leg. I’m on this little tricycle to keep my foot in the air. I’m smiling because my daughter gave me a kiss and a hug. We laughed and played. And my car’s gone.”
Moore ended his message with a plea: “So, if you’re in the LA area and you see a black Dawn Rolls Royce with really big wheels—24 inch wheels—red brakes, say something to somebody.”
Shemar Moore Undergoes Foot Surgery
This news comes on the heels of Moore’s upbeat post-surgery update, where he wrote: “ONE LEGGED LOU!!!! I was blessed with alotta things… but… God took a nap on my feet!!! 😂 But from the ankles up, I’m a Baaaaaaaad Man!!! 😜 Just a little foot surgery so I can keep kicking all these doors down, chase my daughter around in circles, and KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!!!”
