Come next month, Beyond the Gates will officially celebrate its first anniversary on the air. The series premiered on CBS in February 2025, and the show has another first to add to its history books: it has been nominated at the 57th Annual NAACP Image Awards in the category of Outstanding Drama Series.

Among the other nominees in the category are Bel-Air (Peacock), Forever (Netflix), Paradise (Hulu), and Reasonable Doubt (Hulu).

In addition to its Outstanding Drama Series nomination, Beyond the Gates also earned a nod for Outstanding Hair Styling (Television or Film), thanks to Wakala L. Hinkson’s work. Other nominees in this category include All’s Fair, Reasonable Doubt, Sinners, and Bel-Air.
