RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) is probably wishing Will (Crew Morrow) was never in the picture.
After hearing from Electra (Laneya Grace) about how things worked out with Will, RJ cannot help himself. He may swear he is not trying to make Will look bad, but that is exactly what is happening. Every word he says seems carefully placed. He claims he has no agenda, but somehow he keeps ending up looking like the better guy.
And he makes sure Electra hears it.
One thing RJ absolutely cannot shake is that kiss he shared with Electra. It keeps replaying in his mind. He flashes back to that moment over and over again. You can tell it meant something to him.
So when he tells Electra he would never have done what Will did, that he would have put her first, it does not feel casual. It feels personal. He is not just defending himself. He is trying to position himself as the safe choice. The loyal one. The guy who would never hurt her.
The problem is, the more he tries to convince her, the more obvious it becomes what he’s actually doing. That kiss is living rent-free in his head, and it is not going anywhere anytime soon.
