The sands in the hourglass are quickly running out for one young Days of Our Lives thespian. Last year, Cary Christopher revealed that he had exited the Peacock soap, but now we finally know when viewers will see him for the last time as Thomas DiMera.
Because Days films so far in advance, even though Christopher wrapped up his run in 2025, his final scenes won’t air until February 2026. The young actor spent nearly six years portraying Thomas before landing a series regular role on a new Amazon Prime show.

In an October Facebook post, Christopher confirmed the news and shared the reason behind his departure. “Yes, it is true,” he wrote, before explaining, “I left Days of Our Lives several months ago because I booked a role as a series regular for a new show coming to Amazon Prime in 2026.”
He also reflected fondly on his time on the soap, adding, “Days of Our Lives was such a dream set to work on. I started on this beloved soap when I was just 4. How lucky am I that I got to call it my home for almost six years?!”
When His Final Episodes Will Air
In a more recent Facebook update, Christopher shared another bittersweet detail. “My last appearance on Days of Our Lives will be next month,” he revealed. “I have three more episodes as Thomas DiMera, with the next one airing on January 21.”
Fans will see him this week as Jennifer, Jack, and Chad attempt to work out a custody agreement.

Christopher also teased what’s ahead. He said, “It’s been such a great ride! Please welcome the new Thomas with open arms. And on January 25, my new show, It’s Not Like That, premieres! I think you will absolutely love it.”
He added that he’s currently in Berlin working on yet another exciting project.
