It’s New Year’s Eve in Salem, and love is in the air along with a little chaos. Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Javi (Al Calderon) are getting ready to say “I do,” with Marlena Evans(Deidre Hall) officiating, of course. And as everyone knows, weddings in Salem rarely come without a twist or three. This one will be no exception.
Will Leo and Javi get to seal the deal on their future before Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porter) makes his long-awaited return to Salem? Dimitri is back, but is it bad timing? Or perfectly calculated timing? In Salem, the answer is usually both. Only time will tell what Dimitri’s return means for the happy couple.
Surprises and More Surprises
Meanwhile, tensions are rising elsewhere. Gwen (Emily O’Brien) finds herself increasingly frustrated, but what or who is pushing her to the edge? And as the days unfold, surprises and gifts take center stage. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) has something special planned for her husband, Steve (Stephen Nichols). But what kind of surprise does she have up her sleeve?
And Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) gives Stephanie (Abigail Klein) a very late Christmas gift. What could that be?
In Salem, nothing is ever just a celebration, and New Year’s Eve is only the beginning.
