It’s been quite a month on General Hospital. Some really solid episodes aired, with strong writing, directing, and performances across the board. Fans noticed, and they made their voices heard.
They voted Kelly Thiebaud, who plays Britt Westbourne, as the Star of the Month for March. And we’ve got no complaints.
Britt’s Storyline Brought the Drama
Since her return from the “dead,” we’ve learned a lot about what Britt has been dealing with.
She originally faked her death to escape the fatal progression of Huntington’s disease. But as it turns out, that wasn’t the full story. She had actually been held under the control of Sidwell and Cullum, who were making her life a living hell.
They were controlling her access to the medication she needed to survive. They used it to keep her in line and force her to continue their twisted version of Cesar Faison’s final project.
Of course, Jason Morgan could tell something was off. Britt wasn’t being honest, and he kept pushing until she finally opened up and told him the truth. It was bad. Really bad. However, Jason promised he would help her get out of it.
At the same time, Lucas Jones found out what was going on and stepped in to help. He encouraged Marco to get the medication Britt needed so it could be replicated. That was her way out. Her ticket to freedom. Except, things did not go according to plan.
The plan with Jason was simple. Get the meds, get somewhere safe, and finally break free.
But of course, it didn’t go that way.
Everything Falls Apart on Pier 55
Last week’s episodes took things to another level.
Britt met Lucas on Pier 55 after he finally got the medication, thanks to Marco. Once Lucas left, Britt stayed behind, waiting for Jason.
Instead, Cullum showed up.
He demanded the vials. She handed them over, and he destroyed them right in front of her. Poured them out and crushed them, just like that.
Things turned physical fast. Britt fell, hit her head, and was out for a while. Cullum was ready to shoot her, but Jason arrived just in time. The two fought, and then everything changed in an instant when Rocco Falconeri stepped in and shot Cullum in the back.
From there, it was pure chaos. Rocco went home and confessed to his mom, Jason was taken to the PCPD for questioning, and Britt was rushed to the hospital.
Later, a desperate Britt even considered taking things further, thanks to some encouragement from Joss. Britt tried to finish Cullum off in the ICU before he could hurt anyone else. She almost went through with it, but Lulu Spencer walked in and interrupted the whole plan.
A Performance That Stood Out
There were strong performances all around. Steve Burton, Eden McCoy, Laura Wright, Van Hansis, Alexa Havins Bruening, Finn Carr, Adrian Anchondo, Nancy Lee Grahn, and more – all delivered.
But according to the votes, Kelly Thiebaud stood out.
She just gets it. Whether it’s heavy emotional scenes, lighter moments, or romance, she handles it all. This month, she really brought it.
Her post-injury scenes were especially strong. The confusion felt real. The fear, the worry, the disappointment, it all came through without feeling forced.
That’s what makes it work.
It’s no surprise she won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2022 and picked up another nomination in 2023.
Well deserved.
And now, fans have given her another win. Congrats to Kelly Thiebaud on being named Star of the Month for March 2026.
