When the General Hospital teasers for this week mentioned Nathan West receiving a mysterious text, it was pretty clear something was off. And as it turns out, that instinct was right. Ever since his “back from the dead” return, there have been a lot of questions. And yes, this is a soap, so we knew answers wouldn’t come right away. But as of the March 31 episode, we finally have at least one major reveal. Nathan West is not Nathan West. He is Cassius Faison.
What We Know So Far About Cassius Faison
Let’s rewind for a second. When Nathan returned in 2025, he was found in a crashed car on the side of the road and brought to the hospital. Everyone who saw him was in shock and had questions. However, DNA testing confirmed he was Nathan West, but even then, things didn’t fully add up.
Fans will remember that the detective was shot in the chest by his father, Cesar Faison, while trying to rescue Maxie, who was being held hostage. Nathan died… and then suddenly reappeared seven years later with no memory of what happened during that time.
That alone raised questions, but there were other moments that made things even more suspicious. Small details, odd behavior, things that just didn’t quite sit right.
Then there was Britt’s comment about her father having four children. Viewers only knew of three at the time: Britt, Nathan, and Peter August. That line definitely stood out, and now we know why.
Now fast forward to the latest episode. Nathan meets Sidwell at Wyndemere, where Sidwell orders him to make Sonny pay for Marco’s death. However, Nathan was not for it. He pointed out that that’s not something he would do.
And that’s when everything changes.
Sidwell tells him he’s right, that’s not something “Nathan West” would do. But it is something Cassius Faison would do.
So now we know the truth. Nathan is not Nathan. He’s Cassius.
But that opens up even more questions. Is Cassius actually Cesar’s fourth child? Could the real Nathan still be alive somewhere? Or has Cassius been brainwashed into believing he is Nathan this whole time?
For now, he’s working with Sidwell, and that’s only going to spell trouble moving forward.
