Earlier this year, Cameron Mathison was faced with an unimaginable tragedy—his home was completely destroyed during the LA wildfires. Since then, he has been nothing but a positive force on social media and he recently gave fans a quick tour of his new home—a rental spot. Offering a “quick life update,” Mathison said in a video clip posted on his Instagram account, “I’ve received so much unbelievable support and a lot of questions as to how I’m doing and if I have a place to stay now.”
He went on to explain, “[The] first three weeks were a little tricky—not going to lie to you—but since then I do have a new rental unit. So here I am in Silver Lake, California. It’s got some levels to it, which is really nice. The cold plunge is on the roof, which is nice. I managed to save this beautiful little Buddha.”
To top it all off, his one-time All My Children colleague Eva LaRue, who now plays Natalia on General Hospital, gave him something special. He shared, “I’ve got this sofa donated from my beautiful friend, Eva LaRue… and I’ve had places to stay from friends and I’ve had dishes given to me and towels and sheets and clothes and I’m gonna forget some things but so much kindness and generosity.”
Cameron Mathison’s New Home
Cameron was filled with nothing but gratitude. “I just wanted to say thanks to everybody. I haven’t posted about everything, but I just love you guys. It’s been a lot; it’s been logistically and emotionally a lot for myself and my kids and family, and day by day, chipping away, making progress, and I’m so grateful to have a place to stay. It makes it a lot easier and also the support from all of you. I really do love you guys.”
Well, we love you too, Cam! But Drew, maybe not so much right now! Ironically, his General Hospital alter ego, Drew Quartermaine, just moved into his new digs and was quick to give Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) a view of it!
