The Bold and the Beautiful made headlines and sent shockwaves through its fanbase when the show decided to kill off fan-favorite villain Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) in November 2025. Even after her death was confirmed, many fans still were not buying it. After all, this was not the first time Luna had supposedly met her end.

Now, executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell has finally addressed the controversy in a new interview with TV Insider, where he teased what is ahead for B&B in 2026.

What Happened to Luna?

Luna’s death was dramatic, to say the least. While running through the fog to avoid arrest, she darted straight into oncoming Los Angeles traffic. All viewers saw was a blinding light, Luna’s shocked face zoomed in, and then a loud bang. End scene. And episode.

In the following episode, Deputy Chief Baker visited the Spencer mansion to officially confirm that Luna was dead and that the baby she had been carrying was lost, just like she told Will. Still, fans were not convinced. There was no body. No hospital scene. No morgue. And no doctor pronouncing her dead. And in soap-opera land, those details matter.

Is Luna Dead on Bold and Beautiful or Not?

Questions flew, theories multiplied, and the internet did what it does best. Some speculated Luna would return yet again. Others floated the idea that Dylan, who claimed she was the one who hit Luna, might actually be Luna in disguise. As wild as that sounds, longtime soap viewers know it would not be completely out of bounds. Masks have been a thing for soaps for years.

But for now, it looks like those theories can be put to bed.

Bell told TV Insider, “Luna is dead. We all saw it. I mean, Lisa Yamada, wow. And to cap it off with an Emmy and to have her bring levity and that spark in her eye and the unique delivery? What a joy she was to work with and what a wonderful person. She took that character and ran with it, and it was so wonderful collaborating with Lisa.

So while soaps are famous for never saying never, it sounds like there are no plans to bring Luna back, at least not anytime soon.

One response to “Is Luna Really Dead on The Bold and the Beautiful? Here’s the Truth”

  1. Brad Bell lies about deaths and exits. Finn, Sheila… had them out doing exit interviews and lying. So yeah, what he says means nothing.
