Soap Opera News has the latest soap opera comings and goings for the week of March 9! Major exits. This week’s news includes some returns for Days of Our Lives, more news for Beyond the Gates, returns on The Bold and the Beautiful, and more. Here are all the details on who’s in and who’s out on your favorite daytime dramas.

Who’s Coming to Beyond the Gates?

  • Expect to see some more of Maurice P. Kerry as Randy Parker.
  • Meanwhile, Karan Kendrick is back for more drama as Mona. This week, Mona spots Randy and Lynette doing something unsanitary.
  • Angela Fairley is set to make her debut as Deanna McBride, the daughter of Vanessa and the late Doug McBride. Fairley makes her debut this week when the character returns to Fairmont Crest.
  • Darryl W. Handy makes more appearances as Detective Marcel Malone. This week, Joey has a special assignment for the detective.
  • Also back this week is Alex Cheeks as Donnell McBride. He will be very busy; not only will Donnell clash with his twin sister, but he will also compare notes with Kat.
  • Expect to see some more of Dominique Madison this week. Lynette will be doing something unsanitary.
  • Cady McClain is back this week as Pamela Curtis. In fact, you will see her in Monday’s episode. But what brings Pam back on the scene remains to be seen.
  • Ernestine Johnson locks in more appearances as Shanice.
  • Greg Vaughan as Dr. Kial Rollins and Jordi Vilasuso as Grayson are on this week.
  • Ben Gavin is also on this week as Derek Baldwin. Aside from his new job, he will be talking to Naomi about Ashley’s love life.

Comings for Days of Our Lives the Week of March 2

  • Richard Wharton is back as Dr. Rolf as the story with the person in the pod continues.
  • Tina Huang is back as Melinda. This week, she shares some scenes with Cherie Jiemenez’s Gabi Hernandez. Plus, Gwen tries to sway Melinda to switch sides.
  • Wes Ramsey continues his return stint as Owen Kent, as the story with Stephanie’s kidnapping ramps up.
  • Hank Northrop gets more screentime as Liam. This week, Liam asks Ari out on a date.
  • Suprise! We got a new Lexie Carver. Soap newbie, Nikki Crawford, made her debut in the tail end of the Friday, March 6 episode when EJ revealed to Paulina who is in the pod.
  • In other surprising casting news, AlexAnn Hopkins is back as Joy Welsey. She will first air on April 24.
  • Al Calderon, who has been off the canvas as Javi Hernandez, is apparently back when he offers Leo a chance to reconcile.

Who is Leaving Days of Our Lives?

  • Alice Halsey, who has been playing Rachel Black since March 2025, has made her final appearance on Days of Our Lives. Halsey was last seen in the role on Thursday, March 5. The role of Rachel has now been recast. However, details about the new actress stepping into the part — including when she will first appear on screen — have not yet been revealed. More information about the recast is expected to become available soon, so stay tuned to SON.

Who’s Coming to General Hospital?

  • Nathan Dean (formerly Parsons) is making a surprise return to General Hospital as Ethan Lovett. The actor will be back on screen in April 2026.
  • Paige Herschell locks in more appearances as Jacinda Bracken.
  • Nazneen Contractor makes more appearances as ADA Justine Turner.
  • Bluesy Burke is back this week as Charlotte Cassadine.

Who is Leaving General Hospital?

  • Kathleen Gati is reportedly off the canvas for a bit as her alter ego, Dr. Liesl Obrecht, leaves Port Charles for a medical conference in New Zealand.

The Bold and the Beautiful Comings and Goings

  • Ashleigh Brewer gets more airtime this week as Ivy Forrester. Oh boy, and is she up to no good. In Monday’s episode, she issues another warning to Daphne.
  • Katie Logan Spencer is set to launch her fashion house, LOGAN, which means Morgan Fairchild is back as Dottie Bright, while Jim J. Bullock returns as Joseph.
  • As Logan goes live, Zoe Sellers, Wendy Juel, and Marketa Lim all play Logan models for the big debut.

Who Is Leaving The Bold and the Beautiful?

  • Romy Park made an announcement recently about her status. The actress stepped away to pursue other dreams. She wants to be a producer. However, she clarified in comments on her Instagram announcement that she believes Poppy will pop in as needed.

Who’s Coming to The Young and the Restless?

  • Tracey E. Bregman locks in some more appearances this week when Lauren is back on the scene, facing a big decision.
  • Newer Y&R viewers may be wondering who the mystery woman is with Jack. That’s Stacy Haiduk, who is back playing Patty Williams. She officially made her onscreen return on Friday, March 6.
  • Tamara Braun is back this week as Sienna Bacall, and she is ready to do whatever she can to help with the Matt situation.
  • Someone say finally! Christel Khalil makes her return as Lily Winters, after a short maternity leave, on Friday, March 13.
