When it comes to scheming, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) isn’t exactly new to the game. Honestly, she could teach a master class. So when spoilers hint that she’s teaming up with Michael (Christian LeBlanc), it’s hardly shocking. The real question is what exactly are these two cooking up?
Michael is currently stuck between a rock and a very hard place: betraying Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) or turning his back on a friend.
Not an easy choice. Meanwhile, Nikki isn’t convinced she wants to go head-to-head with her own husband. That’s a whole lot of drama, even by Newman standards. So whatever plan they’re involved in, it’s probably more strategic than explosive, at least for now.
Lily Sends Mixed Signals
Over in Cane (Billy Flynn) land, the poor guy thought he hit the jackpot. On New Year’s Eve, he finally locked lips with Lily (Christel Khalil) again, right after his heartfelt, last-ditch plea. And honestly, you could feel it. No doubt Lily felt it too, except she’s still stuck between two very different options. She’s definitely sending mixed signals.
Cane, of course, assumed that the kiss meant progress. That things were finally moving forward and would stay that way. Maybe they will. Or maybe not so fast.
Diane Loses Patience
Meanwhile, Y&R spoilers for January 7, 2026, confirm that Diane (Susan Walters) is officially losing patience with Jack’s (Peter Bergman) unwavering loyalty to Nikki. Jack has always been a devoted friend to his ex-wife, even when his current wife isn’t exactly thrilled about it.
Nikki refuses to betray Victor for Jack and the family business, and that decision is bound to ruffle feathers. Diane won’t be happy when she finds out, and Jack continuing to defend Nikki is only going to make things worse.
