Days of our Lives is adding to its teen scene as Madelyn Kientz joins the Peacock soap opera as Sophia, who debuts next week.

Madelyn Kientz was first spotted during the on set celebration of the show marking its historic 15,000th episode. Now comes confirmation from Soap Hub that Kientz will make her debut early next week as Sophia, Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) friend.

Speaking with Michael Maloney of Soap Hub, Kientz said, “It’s been a crazy ride, and so much fun. I’m having a great time.” Kientz noted that she hoped it was a good omen when she first read for her DAYS role on her birthday. “It seemed like a nice coincidence, which was a cool thing to have happen.”

Madelyn Kientz Joins Days of our Lives as Sophia

When asked about who Sophia is, Madelyn Kientz said, “She’s friends with Holly (Ashley Puzemis). They’ve been friends since they were kids. Sophia will interact with Tate (Leo Howard), too.” Kientz said Sophia is “determined and ambitious. As time goes on and we see more of her, I’m hoping viewers will fall in love with her as much as I have.”

Madelyn Kientz has been filming for Days of our Lives for some months now. Given the show’s advanced taping schedule, her first episode will air next week. Be sure to watch ‘Days of our Lives’ weekdays on Peacock.
