On this day in 1982, actor Joseph Mascolo made his debut as the popular character, Stefano DiMera on Days of Our Lives. Stefano became an all-time great soap opera villain who died several times and rose again and was eventually referred to as the “The Phoenix”. The character was recently killed by Hope [Kristian Alfonso]. It was late last year that the actor died in real life, may his soul rest in peace!
