Robert Newman is best known for his role as Josh Lewis on ‘Guiding Light’. It was very sad when the show came to an end and ever since that day daytime fans have been missing him on daytime television. While we do miss him greatly and wait patiently for the day he returns to the genre we are taking a look at his life as a parent. It is Father’s Day weekend and we are highlighting some of daytime TV’s best dads – some current ones and some former ones.
Newman, who is youngest of all his siblings married actress Britt Helfer on September 27, 1986. They are the proud parents of two children; Connor who was born on April 3, 1989 and was named after his father’s middle name and Kendal, their daughter who was born on May 13, 1992. They are a very happy family who has a lot of quality family time – check out some of the highlights below!
