“All Rise” is a courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and police to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal system. Among them is newly appointed ‘Judge Lola Carmichael’ (Simone Missick), a highly regarded and impressive former deputy district attorney who doesn’t intend to sit back on the bench in her new role, but instead leans in, immediately pushing the boundaries and challenging the expectations of what a judge can be.
The cast also includes Wilson Bethel as Judge Carmichael’s best friend, Deputy District Attorney ‘Mark Callan,’ Jessica Camacho as public defender ‘Emily Lopez,’ J. Alex Brinson as bailiff-turned-lawyer ‘Luke Watkins,’ Ruthie Ann Miles as Lola’s assistant ‘Sherri Kansky,’ Lindsay Mendez as court reporter ‘Sara Castillo,’ and Lindsey Gort as defense attorney ‘Amy Quinn.’
Tuesday, February 1 (9 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT) Episode: Devotees in the Courthouse of Love
Lola officiates her first nuptials on “Wedding Day,” an annual event when couples flock to the Hall of Justice to be married free of charge. Also, Lola and public defender Emily Lopez are torn between civil laws and the laws of a higher power when it seems they must allow Phoebe (Emma Dumont), a nun with a shady past, to go to prison for a criminal act against the church that she believes is morally right.
Tuesday, February 8 (9 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT) Episode: Fool for Liv
Lola contends with a fame-hungry defendant, personal assistant Olivia McLeland (Bianca Santos), and a circus-like courtroom while presiding over a celebrity’s murder trial that forces her to find peace at Sherri’s home after she’s chased by paparazzi. Jere Burns guest stars as Olivia’s attorney, Adam Pryce.
Tuesday, February 15 (9 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT) Episode: Uncommon Women and Mothers
Mark and Emily go head to head in court for the first time, and things get awkward when Mark must cross-examine Lola’s mother, Roxy (L. Scott Caldwell), when she’s called as a character witness in the case for a homeless youth charged with felony vandalism.
Tuesday, February 22 (9 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT) Episode: Maricela and the Desert
Lola and Emily find themselves on opposing sides when the key witness in a murder trial is the victim’s 11-year-old daughter. Also, when Mark’s key witness in a case winds up in a Vegas jail, Luke accompanies Mark on a road trip to the desert to bring the witness back to testify.
