Allison Lanier Celebrates A Special Anniversary

Allison Lanier is celebrating her first anniversary of playing the role of Summer Newman Abbott on The Young and the Restless. It was on May 17, 2022, that she made her debut in the role taking over from previous portrayer, Hunter King.

Summer is the daughter of legacy characters Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow.) In regards to being on the show, Lanier told Digital Journal, “It’s great. I feel lucky for the opportunity. Stepping into an already-established role on such a beloved show was intimidating, but I’m very grateful for all of the fans who have accepted me.“
