Kendall Hart – who could ever forget such an impactful character as played by Alicia Minshew on ‘All My Children’ during its latter years on ABC and its Prospect Park online reboot? No one, definitely! Minshew, a power-house actress recently gave Soap Opera News an exclusive chat in which she talked about the upcoming Daytime Emmy’s, if she would be open to an ‘AMC’ reboot, a return to ‘The Blacklist’, upcoming projects and so much more.

As we congratulated her on her nomination in the category of Oustanding Lead Actress in a Digital Drama Series for her role as Angelica on ‘Tainted Dreams’ she shared, “Aww thank you so much! This is a big category now so I was genuinely surprised when I heard about the nomination. I, unfortunately, will not be able to attend. I am super bummed about it.” She went on further to share, “There is one woman (who I am a big fan of ) who I think will win! Hee hee! We shall see. Either way, it is just fun to be in the running with all of those great women! It is really an honor too.

As for a season 3 of the hit web series, Minshew highlighted, “For Tainted Dreams, it would be great to get a Season 3 from Amazon. There is a lot of unfinished business for many of the characters and so many other fun stories to be told.

Will there be another AMC reboot and would Minshew consider going back to her soap roots? “Ahhh being on AMC was one of the best times in my life,” she gushed as she went on further to say “sure a reboot would be fun. I am open to anything. If that were the case.. then I would want Zach and Kendall to take over Pine Valley and stir up some trouble in the most fun way!

Minshew also reflected on her most recent primetime gig and revealed that she was asked back for a very brief stint. “Yes. The Blacklist was a fun little stint,” she noted adding “they have such a lovely cast and great crew. It was just fun to be on a big set again with such talented people. The doctor role was a new one for me! I actually recently filmed one more episode playing the same doctor (Doctor Melissa Lomay). It is one super quick scene. If ya blink-you will miss me! But it was nice to be asked back. They are a really great group over there! James Spader is just brilliant. I don’t have the airdate yet but will keep you posted.

As for her upcoming projects, the former AMC star shared, “One of the films that is out now is called “The Funeral Guest”. It has been out for a while. It can be seen on Amazon and in select theaters in other countries. Such a beautiful story. I, of course, play the bitch again. That is always fun! The star of it Julianna Robinson has won some awards for her work in this. She is breathtakingly amazing.” And then she went on to share what keeps her busy outside of her acting career: “Aside from acting- my 8-year-old daughter Willow keeps me PLENTY busy these days. She is a social butterfly and has a ton of after-school activities. So I run her all over the place. It is fun and exhausting all at the same time. When I am not with her–I am working on a project with my friend Markus Redmond (film writer/ director), Sonia Blangiardo( creator of Tainted Dreams) and Michael Pomarico (Director from AMC). We getting ready to pitch a very, very, very fun (very irreverent) show. I said “very” three times for a reason. You will see why when we chat next time about the show. This project is unlike anything I have done and makes me laugh out loud when I read it. Can’t wait to share more soon!

Of course, we’re pretty excited about her upcoming projects and her return to The Blacklist! Do fans still want to see an AMC reboot of some sort?
