Eric Nelsen (The Bay,  Ex-AJ All My Children) and his wife Sainty Nelsen (Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, The Bay) teamed together to executive produce and star in the new film The Last Whistle, which will hit select theaters and all streaming platforms on June 28th, 2019.

When the all-star player of the local high school football team collapses during practice, all eyes turn to the storied head coach. Instead of mollifying the situation, the coach tries to maintain the team’s winning streak. The town turns against him, leading to a lawsuit from the player’s mother.

The Last Whistle, directed by Rob Smat, has some impressive talent involved in the film. Brad Leland (Deep Water Horizon, Friday Night Lights), Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation), Kristos Andrews (The Bay), newcomer Deanne Lauvin, and BCS Championship-winning coach, Les Miles, will star in the film.
