Former All My Children star, Josh Duhamel, who played Leo du Pres on the defunct soap, has been tapped to lead the cast of season 2 of Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, a series based on the Mighty Ducks movie franchise.

Duhamel will play Gavin Cole, a former NHL player who is now a coach. He runs the intense summer hockey institute where the Mighty Ducks end up in season 2. He is described as “inspirational, charming hardcore, big on the hockey metaphor that applies to life.”

He replaces Emilio Estevez who played head coach, Gordon Bombay in the movies and season 1 of the series and left the franchise in November of last year.

Mighty Ducks: Game Changers airs on the streaming service Disney +. No premier date for season 2 has been announced.
