Shook, a modern hip-hop dance short-form series, has begun production. The series stars popular actress, dancer and singer Sofia Wylie from Disney Channel’s Andi Mack and the upcoming High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for Disney +). This young lady has been extremely busy! In addition, Wylie recently made her musical debut in Side by Side, her big-screen debut in Marvista’s Back of the Net and she is also the voice of Riri Williams in the Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron.
Shook will be available Saturday, Sept. 28, on Disney’s Channel’s YouTube.
The single-camera scripted narrative show focuses on Mia, a 15-year-old who wants more than anything to dance professionally but obstacles arise with her daily responsibilities to her little sister, Skylar and their single mom. Mia has a hard time expressing her feelings but with the support of her bestie Fredgy and her mentor, Ritz, she finds a brand new avenue to be and express her true self through the art of dance.
