Viewers tuning in to the Days of our Lives episode on May 21, 2025, witnessed a very poignant moment for Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), the beloved pairing dubbed as “Xarah.”
After Xander faced the questioning of the Salem PD for Philip’s (John-Paul Lavoisier) beating, he arrived home at the Kiriakis mansion, where he and Sarah got into it about his actions and her lies!
What Happened Today on Days of our Lives
Outside of the sip and paint activities hosted by Cat (AnnaLynne MCord), Paulina (Jackee Harry) gifting Johnny (Raven Bowens) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) a place of their own and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) fearing the worst regarding Philip, Xander and Sarah’s big blowup was the highlight of the episode.
First, Sarah opened up to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) that she feared her hubby was responsible for beating Philip to an inch of his life. She wasn’t wrong. Later, Xander came home, and he and his wife got into it about his actions. It wasn’t long after that that Xander revealed he knows what she did — she’s been lying to him for months. Philip lied about that letter; Sarah found out about it and said nothing to him.
Sarah Wants Xander Gone…
Naturally, Xander didn’t want Philip’s claims to turn out to be true. However, after dodging, deflecting, and awkward silences, she finally admitted it—and that’s when all hell broke loose. The fan-favorite couple exploded.
In a moment that had fans gasping, Sarah told Xander she wanted him gone. Not just a “take a walk” gone—gone gone. But Xander told her he wasn’t going anywhere without his daughter. Sarah snapped back that no child of hers was leaving with someone who could beat another human being within an inch of their life. Ouch.
Realizing he’d lost the moral high ground and the argument, Xander agreed to leave—but not without saying goodbye to Victoria first. So, is this the end for Salem’s most adorable couple? Or just another “To Be Continued” in their never-ending, gloriously messy love saga?
Paul Telfer Reacts
Meanwhile, Paul Telfer explained on X, “Obviously I won’t go into spoilers, but i will say that this “destruction” is quite different from prior ones—and I feel that there are unaddressed issues. Relating to Xander’s character and past behavior that need to be properly explored and dramatized before he can achieve the kind of stability and happiness he keeps saying he wants. So I remain hopeful he’ll get there one day…”
So how do you feel about this? Do you hope Xander and Sarah will work things out? (Photo: Peacock.)
