The latest episode of State of Mind, hosted by Maurice Benard (Sonny from General Hospital), featured a special guest—Asher Antonyzyn, who plays Danny Morgan on GH. This episode was filled with the typical fanfare, including an introduction and discussions about sports. Asher also spoke about living in Chicago and having to commute to LA to film for GH. He also took the opportunity to ask Maurice some questions. Plus, they had a heartfelt conversation where Asher openly shared his experiences with ADHD.
At the latter part of the episode, Antonyzyn, who has been acting for three years, revealed, “I wouldn’t say, in any way, severe, but I have pretty good ADHD.” When Maurice inquired about ADHD, Asher elaborated, “ADHD is like a focusing thing; I take medication for it, so it helps me to chill out.” He continued, “I take it for school so it helps me get through the day of school with learning stuff. If I don’t take it, you know, my mind just goes somewhere else.”
Antonyzyn also talks about landing his GH gig and working with the legends. Watch the full interview below!
