Beyond the Gates has done it again. Along with the big double renewal news, there are even more casting updates, and this one is a fun surprise. Soap vet Ashley Jones, who has plenty of daytime credits under her belt, has joined the cast in a role that’s still being kept under wraps.

She was actually spotted on set as the cast and crew celebrated the show being picked up for two more seasons. Eagle-eyed fans caught it first, and Soap Opera Digest later confirmed the news after a spokesperson for the show shared that Jones has officially joined.

Jones’ Strong Soap Ties

Of course, Ashley Jones is no stranger to the soap world. She’s also reuniting with some familiar faces, including Karla Mosley, who plays Dani Dupree Richardson. The two previously worked together on The Bold and the Beautiful, where Jones played Bridget Forrester, and Mosley played Maya Avant.

Beyond that, Jones has appeared across several major soaps. She played Megan Dennison on The Young and the Restless and Professor Parker Forsyth on General Hospital.

Outside of daytime, she’s kept busy with a range of roles, including appearances in For All Mankind, The Resident, The Rookie, Criminal Minds, and Major Crimes, along with a number of films.

More Casting Changes Roll In

This news comes alongside other recent casting updates for Beyond the Gates. Alex Alegria, who plays Tomas Navarro, has been moved to recurring status. At the same time, Jon Lindstrom, who plays Joey Armstrong, and Lami, who plays Izaiah Hawthorne, have both been promoted to contract.

Jones now joins a growing list of well-known soap names on the cast, including Greg Vaughan and Jordi Vilasuso.

So, who do you think Ashley Jones will be playing?
