Eric, Ridge, and Carter are talking about the upcoming Italy trip. They are impressed with Carter’s advanced planning of it. Eric mentions Thomas and Hope going and asks Ridge if there is anything to be concerned about. Ridge is worried they will be distracted by too many press events but Eric thinks it will be fine. He asks Ridge if Brooke is going since she is Hope’s mother and Ridge asks him if Taylor should go since she is Thomas’s mother. Eric and Carter wonder what is going on with his love life and Ridge tells them that he doesn’t have one because neither woman wants anything to do with him.

Brooke tries to talk to Taylor about what Steffy said to Liam but Taylor defends her daughter. Brooke assures her that Hope does not have feelings for Thomas but Taylor is doubtful. Taylor says that Steffy was only defending her brother and Brooke tells her that she can’t just forget what Thomas has done in the past. She tells Brooke that she can’t forget that Hope has Logan blood in her. Brooke is offended and can’t believe Taylor is being so rude. She tells Taylor that she values their pact and doesn’t want their friendship ruined so she is going to leave before she says something she regrets. As she is walking out the door Taylor calls after her that it’s too late for that. 

Hope goes to Il Guardino to see Deacon and says that she needed a friendly face. She is exasperated when he immediately thinks Thomas did something. She tells him in no uncertain terms that Thomas is fine and she has the situation under control and that she wishes people would stop jumping to conclusions about everything. Deacon backs off and tells her that he always has her back. After she finishes her lunch she thanks him for all of his support and tells him about the upcoming Italy trip. Deacon is very excited for her. 

After Hope leaves Taylor comes in and tells him about her issues with Brooke. He accuses her of trying to push him toward Brooke so she can have Ridge but Taylor denies that was the reason. She tells him that he’s a great catch and she knows he loves Brooke so she wants him to be happy. She tells him that she thinks he is the answer to the whole mess that has been going on for so long.

At the office Ridge is going over last-minute security details with Charlie and then has a moment to talk alone with Eric who encourages him to work things out with Brooke. When Brooke comes into the office to go over details for the Italy trip Eric leaves them alone to talk. Ridge tells her that Eric wants them to reunite and says he understands the soft spot his father has for her because of how beautiful and wonderful she is.
