Liam asks his father about the possibility of meeting Poppy, citing that she may become his stepmother in the future. Bill appeals to Liam to slow down, as he holds a deep affection for Poppy but prefers to take it slow. He openly acknowledges his desire to foster a deeper connection with her. Liam implies that the rekindling of his father’s relationship with Poppy is not a mere coincidence. After Liam leaves, Bill takes the opportunity to peruse Poppy’s social media profile before calling her. He shares the insight provided by his son, suggesting that the that them reconnecting may have a significant meaning. Poppy thinks he is right.

Li maintains that her sister should feel ashamed of herself. According to Li, this behavior is not in line with their upbringing. Poppy makes it clear that she does not entertain different men in her bed every day, but she does have ongoing relationships with some men, such as Bill Spencer. Li is furious and insists that her sister’s interest in Bill is just for his money, and nothing substantial will come of it. Li then advises her sister not to get her hopes up.
Poppy asks her sister to be less judgmental. In response, Li asserts that she wants what is best for Poppy and emphasizes the inappropriateness of being a gold-digger. Additionally, Li expresses her determination to prevent Poppy from pursuing a romantic with Bill. Poppy, however, firmly states her freedom to choose her own romantic and intimate relationships and begs Li to stop interfering.

Luna and RJ talk about the longstanding connection between her mother and Bill, dating back before Luna’s birth. RJ expresses how it is crazy that two people easily recognized each other after such a long time. He ponders the whole thing, prompting speculation that something more could have happened between the two all those years ago. RJ suggest there could have been more than just dancing going on that night. While Luna may not know who her father is, RJ puts a thought in her head. He suggests that if she does the math about when Bill and her mom met, it’s possible he could be her father.
