For decades, soap operas have kept fans glued to their screens with dramatic love stories, shocking betrayals, and unforgettable characters. After all, it’s the drama that we live for. But what viewers see on TV is only part of the story. Behind the cameras, the atmosphere on set is often very different from the intense drama that plays out on screen on General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, Beyond the Gates, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless.
In fact, many daytime television stars love sharing fun moments together between takes — posing for photos, joking around, and capturing memories from the set. These behind-the-scenes snapshots reveal a side of daytime television that fans rarely get to see.
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos of soap opera stars posing for the camera that fans will definitely enjoy seeing.
Days of Our Lives Photos
In these photos (1), the legendary Jackee Harry (Paulina Price Carver), who is a recent guest on Soapy, the podcast, poses with hosts Greg Rikaart (Leo) and Rebecca Budig (Taylor, B&B).
(2) and (3) Wes Ramsey, who is back on the show for a return story arc as Owen Kent, poses on the set of the Peacock soap opera. In one of the photos, he is pointing to a Salem PD bolo regarding Stephanie and Jeremy.
(4) Speaking of Jeremy, portrayer Michael Roark is seen displaying the thumb. Fans may remember when Stephanie was teaching Jeremy a trick about the thumb as they devised a plan to free themselves.
Photos (5) and (6) feature Wally Kurth’s Justin Kiriakis alongside his onscreen son Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), while Paul Telfer’s Xander Kiriakis shares a moment with Emily O’Brien’s Gwen.
Beyond the Gates
The fun isn’t limited to Salem. The cast of Beyond the Gates has also been sharing fun behind-the-scenes moments in Fairmont Crest.
In these photos, onscreen mother-daughter duo Ambyr Michelle (Eva) and Trisha-Mann Grant (Leslie) pose with Sunny Anderson as they captured a segment for the Drew Barrymore show. Meanwhile, Tamara Tunie, aka Anita Williams Dupree, stands beside Gayle King, who recently made an appearance on the CBS daytime drama as herself. Then we also see Jordi Vilasuso (Grayson) posing in his hospital gear for Garland Memorial.
The Bold and the Beautiful Behind-the-Scenes Photos
It’s another week where B&B will feature several guest stars. As seen in these photos, Morgan Fairchild is back as Dottie, while Jim J. Bullock is back as her associate Joseph. The two will be on hand for Katie Logan Spencer’s big fashion house debut. On top of that, Sissy Sheridan, Charli Constantin, Marketa Lim, Wendy Juel, and Zoe Sellars are all present for Logan’s big launch.
The Young and the Restless
Over on The Young and the Restless, it’s all smiles as colleagues Sharon Case (Sharon) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) pose for a snap at the famous Crimson Lights. Meanwhile, returnee Stacy Haiduk (Patty) poses alongside Peter Bergman, aka Jack Abbott. It doesn’t stop there; Hayley Erin (Claire Newman) shares a big smile as she is snapped alongside Braun.
Even though soap operas are known for heartbreak, rivalries, and shocking twists, these behind-the-scenes photos remind fans that the cast often shares a very different vibe when the cameras stop rolling.
