How does the beginning of The Kissing Song go? Let’s improvise for our #Cin. “Ben and Ciara sitting in a tree (well standing in Salem) K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love then comes marriage then comes baby in the baby carriage.”
Alright #cinners and Days fans, it is finally happening. Cin’s first kiss. So…..we know what’s coming next (drum roll please) their first time! (the good stuff) The first time for a popular couple, a supercouple in the making, is special and it must be treated as such.
With Days’ six month production gap more than likely, the first time has already been filmed. Well, we hope so right? No, we don’t want it too quick. But waiting too long would be soap torture. Since it’s most likely too late to bombard Ron, Sheri and Ryan with our first-time wish lists. Let’s just have some fun with what we would like to see and see how close we can get to what’s sitting on camera somewhere in the NBC Studios in Burbank, CA.
If we had our way, would we have their first time in Paris, the City of Love? What about #Cin shipwrecked on an island and let their first time be with the sun setting behind them? Can you imagine Victoria’s locks glistening against the backdrop of an ocean sunset? Ooooh, let them take a long motorcycle camping trip and let their first time be underneath the sky filled with stars.
But sigh…Budgets! Budgets! Budgets! But we won’t complain we will just make the best of what we have and be thankful for the soap gawds that they have blessed us with another supercouple in the making.
In July I tweeted Ron my wish list that I believed to be a realistic request and would still make #Cin’s first time memorable. My wishes are the same today. I did expound more on a few.
1) A REAL bedroom (not the loft)
2) BIG BED (again the loft doesn’t count)
3) Romance-They could have a snow storm if it’s wintertime. If it’s spring, a bad thunderstorm just something to knock the power out. Let’s have lots of candles, roses leading up to and on the bed and music (how awesome would it be if Days opened up the purse strings and got #Cin a song in the similar vein of Ciara’s parents, Bo & Hope i.e. Tonight I Celebrate My Love/Holding Out for Hero.)
4) Multiple scenes-Have their entire arc of the episode centered around their first time and no 30-second scenes please.
5) No fade to black. Most of the viewers are adults, right? We can handle it!
6) LOVE SCENES LIKE BACK IN THE DAY. When I’d squirm watching soap love scenes on the couch with my grandmother. Again most of us are adults….we want the good stuff.
Days hit the supercouple jackpot with #Cin. I hope whoever came up with the idea of the pairing got a fat bonus check. Unfortunately, #Cin is a rare and precious gem in daytime (the daytime supercouple has been on life support for years). So, we must savor them and give them the royal treatment they so richly deserve.
Okay, #cinners and Days fans it’s your turn. Time to whip out that pad and paper, laptops, phones and make that wish list to soap Santa. Time to find out if you want #Cin’s first time to be “naughty or nice” lol.
