Put some respect on her name. Ambyr Michelle is officially adding author to her growing list of creative titles. The Beyond the Gates star, who turns heads and sometimes raises eyebrows as Eva Thomas, just dropped a major announcement on Instagram—and it caught a lot of people by surprise.
Her new book, Built in the Chaos, is now available for pre-order and will officially ship on February 10. After news like this, it’s hard not to ask the obvious question. Is there anything this woman can’t do?
Sharing a carousel of pictures to promote the book on her Instagram account, Michelle wrote in her caption, “SHE’S AN AUTHOR! You prayed for elevation… but didn’t expect the fire that came with it.”
About Built in the Chaos
The book is a creative world, which spans stories and experiences that are designed to move people forward in their becoming.
On a website where you can preorder, Michelle explains, “This book began with a quiet prompting. While reading another devotional, I sensed a call to create something more honest—something rooted in lived faith and creative endurance. Not a set of answers, but a companion for the in-between. What emerged was not just a journal, but a companion for those building and believing in real time.”
Built in the Chaos includes reflections rooted in real-life surrender, scripture woven into lived experience, guided prayers, journal prompts, creative and spiritual challenges, a signed author page, an exclusive box holder, a designed bookmark, and a note from the author.
For those still getting to know the actress behind the book and behind Eva Thomas, Ambyr Michelle is a storyteller and actress devoted to crafting narratives. She is also a dancer and a filmmaker. As a series regular on the hit daytime drama Beyond the Gates, she approaches every project with the same conviction.
