The holiday season is just around the corner, and Beyond the Gates isn’t missing the chance to lock in some festive magic. In a brand-new preview for the holidays, we get a glimpse at what’s ahead — including a possible new romance and a few very special guests. Let Soap Opera News break it all down for you.
What will happen on Beyond the Gates this Holiday Season?
Also, Beyond the Gates will celebrate the holidays with two special episodes that will air on Wednesday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 30, in its usual time slot.
The festive installments will feature an original holiday song performed by series lead Clifton Davis, who plays the Dupree patriarch, Vernon Dupree. And that’s not all — there will also be a special serenade to ring in 2026 by guest star Kenny Lattimore.
Meanwhile, sparks are expected to fly between colleagues Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) as they find themselves pulled into each other’s romantic orbit. But we all know how Leslie Thomas will feel about that… and according to the preview, it’s not good. On top of the romantic drama, the entire Dupree family is left reeling from a shocking health crisis.
Who is Kenneth Lattimore?
For those who don’t know, Kenneth Lee Lattimore is an American R&B singer who has earned acclaim for his smooth, soulful voice and romantic ballads. He rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with his self-titled album Kenny Lattimore, and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame inducted him in 2024.
