Beyond the Gates spoilers for August 25 tease that both Andre and Chelsea face ghosts from their pasts, Tyrell and Vanessa move on up in their own ways, and Heather’s got Joey and the Richardson-Smiths.

Tyrell is in need of a post-Jessica boost while Vanessa decides to give herself her own boost, and Chelsea and Andre each separately find themselves having to confront unpleasantness from their personal histories. Meanwhile, Randy keeps tabs on Heather as she digs her designer heels into D.C.’s political arena.

Here’s a Soap Opera News breakdown of what to expect on Tuesday’s episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Heather toys with Martin and Smitty.
  • Vanessa’s ready for a major overhaul.
  • June bolsters Tyrell.
  • Andre confronts his past.
  • Chelsea projects her panic.
  • Randy has an intriguing update for Joey.

Don’t Hold On to the Past

Due to the arrival of her not-anniversary with Allison (Brianna Roberts), Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) was already freaking out over the memories of her kidnapping by, and forced wedding to, the stalker. But now Chels is receiving mysterious calls from an unknown number and being hung up on. Has Chelsea forgotten to pay a credit card, or could her fears that Allison is trying to get in touch from jail have merit?

Those around her will be the recipients of her anxiety. But could she be on to something? Is Allison even still behind bars? And could Chelsea’s marriage to her actually have been legal? She was told not, but this is a soap…and what a way to stop Chelsea and Madison’s (Kenjah) own imminent exchange of vows!

Elsewhere, Heather’s (Ashley Jones) hands, at least, have made it clear that The Impaler wants Andre (Sean Freeman) to, um, impale her. But last week, the photographer’s flashback revealed that he had inadvertently taken a picture of something he wasn’t supposed to – and the implication was that his possession of it could cause blood to spill.

Now that Heather has promised to leave Dani (Karla Mosley) alone if Andre produces an “it,” will he only need to unzip his pants? Or will he have to turn over his megapixels? Because he’s having to look back on his days with Heather, and those are the only two true connections between them that could have repercussions on the present.

Lean On Me When You’re Not Strong

Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) couldn’t help overemphasizing the importance of his relationship with Jessica (Camryn Jade) – he may be an adult now, but he’s also still a teen. And though he’s got two dads and a sis who have been trying to support him through his first major dump, sometimes only a mama can provide the real balm.

That’s what happens when Tyrell has his first chat with June (Jasmine Burke) since his breakup, and undoubtedly the street-smart – and heart-smart – waitress will have some timely words of wisdom for the son she’s reunited with in regard to his first heartbreak.

As for Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), she’ll be looking to make a change. But of what particular nature? Her hairstyle, her wardrobe – or does she have something bigger in mind, like again lobbying for a bigger part in Joey’s business?

Now that Heather is in town and circling her brother’s empire like a vulture, Vanessa would do well to heed his words about giving Heather a wide berth. And stick to a makeover administered by a Fairmont Crest country club staffer instead!

Bad Moon Rising

Joey’s (Jon Lindstrom) had Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) running point on keeping an eye on Heather’s movements for some time now – though she does rather tend to give those surveilling her the slip more often than not.

This time, however, Randy seems to have found something that Joey can use, and for his sake it had better do with Heather. Considering how much time Randy’s been putting into aiding Hayley and her whims, Randy had better remember that Joey’s employee evals are murder!

Heather has been making deeper inroads in the DMV between befriending Vanessa and Dani and reconnecting with Andre. But in this episode she’ll be off in a new direction – reporter/congressman couple Smitty (Mike Manning) and Martin (Brandon Claybon). What could Heather be setting them up to get out of them? Will Heather pull a Joey and attempt to curry favor with the politician? Or is it because of Smitty’s determination to take down The Impaler – in this case, her – that she’s making contact with these marrieds?
