What Happens on Beyond the Gates on May 29?
It seems Doug (Jason Graham) still hasn’t learned his lesson. Despite insisting he’s ready to quit gambling for good, he’s once again spotted at the casino—clearly, old habits die hard. With a hefty debt hanging over his head, Doug believes he can dig himself out by returning to work at the hospital and using his salary to pay Joey (Jon Lindstrom) back. A solid plan… but only in theory.
Let’s not forget—Joey isn’t exactly the kind of guy you want to owe money to. He’s already threatened Doug once, and if that wasn’t enough, he’s been openly flirting with Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli)—Doug’s wife—right in front of him. Bold move? Absolutely. Disrespectful? No question.
Still, here Doug is, back at the tables, ready to roll the dice—literally and figuratively—in another high-stakes encounter with Joey. Let’s just hope he’s luckier at cards than he is at life choices.
Dani Issues a Warning
Life has a way of throwing curveballs—and Dani’s (Karla Mosley) just been pitched a fast one. The woman her ex-husband left her for, Hayley (Marquita Goings), is now claiming she’s pregnant with his child. Naturally, Dani isn’t buying it. In her eyes, this is just another one of Hayley’s calculated plays—this time, possibly for financial gain.
Could it really be a fake pregnancy? Well, considering Hayley already made headlines for stealing her best friend’s mother’s husband (yes, you read that right), some might say nothing is off the table. Still, we’d like to think she wouldn’t go that far. Then again, Dani’s not taking any chances.
Expect her to deliver a sharp warning to Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) about his new wife—and potentially new baby mama. With trust issues, past betrayals, and a baby bump in question, this storyline is gearing up to be anything but predictable.
More on Laura’s Attack
Kat’s (Colby Muhammad) obsession with True Crime podcast is finally paying off. In the May 29 episode of Beyond the Gates, she and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) dig deeper into the mystery surrounding Laura’s (Destiny Love) suspicious accident.
Despite multiple warnings about how dangerous Leslie can be, Kat remains determined. She’s on a mission to uncover the truth, and she’s convinced the culprit is either Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant), Eva (Ambyr Michelle)—or both. After all, they’re the only ones who stood to gain from Laura’s accident and mysteriously spiked potassium levels.
What new evidence does Kat uncover? That’s the question on everyone’s mind as she teams up with Jacob to connect the dots. And if anyone can crack this case, it’s Kat—with a tenacious streak that won’t quit.
Leslie Wants Teddy Boo
Meanwhile, Leslie is playing a very different kind of game. With Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) on shaky ground, she sees an opening—and she’s not shy about making her move. Old habits die hard, and Leslie’s still very much drawn to Ted. The question is: Can she lure him back into her orbit… and maybe her bed?
