Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Hayley’s Got Eyes for Izaiah
First up, at the law firm, Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) reconnect — and let’s just say Hayley (Marquita Goings) might start swooning over this eligible bachelor. When Bill and Izaiah shake hands, Izaiah asks if Hayley is Bill’s niece, but Bill quickly clears that up — she’s his wife. Oh, Caroline (Ellie Wang) is there, witnessing the whole thing.
Later, Hayley hops on a call and casually mentions she’s on a “side quest” right now, getting to know a certain police chief’s fine and very eligible son. Will Hayley take that quest all the way?
Vernon and Sharon
Meanwhile, Vernon (Clifton Davis) continues his secret meetings with Sharon (Bonita Brisker). This time, they’re meeting at Uptown. He warns her that their little rendezvous can’t get back to Anita (Tamara Tunie). But what exactly are these two plotting? Should Anita be worried?
Vanessa and Joey
In other Beyond the Gates news, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) hit the casino, where Vanessa accuses him of being addicted. Joey, of course, doesn’t quite see it that way. Under his breath, he mutters, “If I didn’t love you…” Naturally, Vanessa catches half of it and asks, “Wait—what did you just say?”
And closing out the promo are Andre (Sean Freeman) and Dani (Karla Mosley). It looks like they’re officially entering their honeymoon phase… or are they? Because trouble might just be waiting in paradise.
