Andre (Sean Freeman) and Dani (Karla Mosley) are taking a little getaway from the usual drama in Fairmont Crest — but don’t let the change of scenery fool you. The sparks are still flying, but could trouble be tagging along for the ride? Maybe?
There’s a surprise guest: Mrs. Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) shows up. Hmm, did Andre pull a few behind-the-scenes strings for a surprise of his own?
The Calm Before the Storm
Meanwhile, back in Beyond the Gates territory, it’s the calm before a very emotional storm. Joey (Jon Lindstrom) stuns Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) with a sweet surprise: he wants to take her on a vacation. Smooth move, right? Even smoother? He actually follows through — and drops a bombshell: he wants her to take off her wedding ring.
Jacob Delivers Bad News
Doug (Jason Graham), meanwhile, is feeling the emotional aftershocks. He vents to Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy), calling the whole marriage thing a “hustle” — and let’s just say, he’s not feeling lucky in love.
But hold onto your tissues, because what comes next may send many reeling. Vanessa is in bed with Joey and gets a call from Jacob (Jibre Hordges). “There’s an important matter I need to talk to you about,” he says. Her heart sinks. Eyes welling up, she asks, “Jacob, what’s going on?”
