Beyond the Gates spoilers for Tuesday, October 27, 2026 tease that the Articulettes are back in the house, but Anita’s (Tamara Tunie) worried that Dani’s (Karla Mosley) house isn’t in order, and father-and-son duo Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Martin (Brandon Claybon) each have trouble in their love lives. Meanwhile, Hayley (Marquita Goings) gets caught returning to the scene of the crime.

While Dani gives her parents even more reason to worry about her relationship with Andre, Hayley has Dani her first confrontation with Dani since her arrest. Across the DMV, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted are at odds yet again, Martin begins to wonder if it’s worth it, and Anita’s finally ready to get her music on!

Here’s a Soap Opera News breakdown of what to expect on Tuesday’s episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Dani confronts Hayley about her life in Fairmont Crest.
  • Ted and Shanice clash over their ideals.
  • Martin fears for Smitty’s future, while questioning his own.
  • Vernon and Anita’s concern over Dani’s marriage grows, as Anita prepares to take an exciting step in her career.

When Will I See You Smile Again

Most marrieds at least make it through the honeymoon period before they start arguing with each other. Hopefully Shanice and Ted are just getting it out of the way early, because they sure are finding themselves on the opposite sides of things for folks who are supposed to be tiptoeing up to wedded bliss.

First, Ted faced an uphill battle convincing Shanice to move to Fairmont Crest — ‘cuz ya know, his ex-wife lives in the community – and now something bigger seems to be dividing the almost Richardsons. What could be the problem? Closet space? Ted already leaving the seat up? Or is it something more fundamental that could actually see this marriage not taking place?

While Martin begged off of being Ted’s best man, he’s certainly Smitty’s (Mike Manning) best man, and Smitty’s in an awful lot of trouble these days. His apparent connection to Lia’s (Cecelia Specht) death has gotten so treacherous that Smitty actually told Martin to publicly distance himself from him for the sake of his descending re-election campaign. Martin’s terrified that Smitty will do jail time, naturally, but it seems like he’ll need to take stock of his own inventory.

Will Martin actually do as Smitty says and temporarily ignore him so he has a last chance to boost up his poll numbers? Or will he take his name off the ballot with just one week left until Election Day?

The Seed

Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita seem like equal opportunity worriers in that they fret over the problems of their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids all the same. But let’s face it — it’s really Dani who gets most of the patriarch and matriarch’s agonizing.

It looks like they’ll be getting even more concerned about the state of Dani’s marriage to Andre (Sean Freeman)…but why? Andre’s been pretty chill regarding Dani’s upset about finding out there was yet another woman in Bill’s horny harem (yeah, that’s you, Kalista). Is it that exact upset that’s got Dani’s mom and dad thinking Andre’s getting the short end of the stick again?

Anita has other stuff she needs to be focusing on, anyway, and if there’s an impending career move on the horizon, it can only be one thing — her voice has healed enough from the chemo that she’s ready to go into the studio and re-track those Articulettes hits with Barbara’s singing in the mix!

Unless the diva’s suddenly decided to get Noah (Nick Hagelin) a recording contract, and for real — we’ve barely even seen Kial (Greg Vaughan), so the odds favor another visit with Tracy (Maria Howell) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker). Might recording mogul Devon Winters (Bryton James) from Genoa City make another appearance as well? And could this be the beginning of the path that leads us to the dastardly Dante Green, which fall previews told us was on his way?

Dani Confronts Haylster

Hayley’s got something on the way, all right…a baby. Clearly, if you’re easy, you’re gonna be blue! So what’s the first thing any I-don’t-wanna-be-pregnant woman should do? Head on down to the Fairmont Crest country club and hang out where you could run into a rightfully wronged Dupree any second.

Hayley will have to face her one-time literal target, Dani, and you don’t need to call Miss Cleo to know that’s not going to go well. It’s just a matter of which of Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) exes is going to emerge with the most scratches, figuratively speaking.

By the way, Val isn’t necessarily carrying Bill’s child, you know! Not that it would be Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor); Hayley took shelter in that tornado closet with him nearly five months ago, and surely she’d have felt that baby bump long before now. But since Hayley was ready to cheat with Kyle…anybody east of the Mississippi could be her baby’s daddy! Just something to think about!
