Beyond the Gates spoilers for September 1 tease that Dani has her Lucy Van Pelt psychiatry booth open for business, Kat and Chelsea have more in their purses than cosmetics, and something’s got Hayley all boo-hoo.
Nicole’s about to dish out some advice for Kat, Izaiah has something for Eva she may or may not want, and Naomi finds herself in the hot seat. Elsewhere in the DMV, something has Hayley weeping and Carlton spills a bit of tea that may taste a bit bitter for Andre!
Here’s a Soap Opera News breakdown of what to expect on Tuesday’s episode.
Key Takeaways
- Dani hears a heartfelt confession.
- Nicole counsels her daughter.
- Hayley’s brought to tears.
- Chelsea and Kat can’t seem to escape scandal.
- Carlton has stunning news for Andre.
- Izaiah surprises Eva.
- Naomi bites off more than she can chew.
Fashion Killa
Super shrink Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) is never more than a stone’s throw from her professional office at Garland or her home office at…home – which will work out because it seems Kat (Colby Nixon) will be in need of some perspective shifting. Will the rising business mogul be instructed once again to stop throwing shade on Eva (Ambyr Michelle), or is Kat’s problem a little more serious?
Serious as in Takahashi, perhaps. The distributor/manufacturer has found itself in the spotlight lately with rumors of sweatshops and child labor swirling around the fashion trades. Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Kat thought they had a shot at attending Fashion Week in Tokyo, but their connection to Takahashi quickly ended their Japanese lessons. And apparently…the long shadow of Takahashi will continue to loom over them like Godzilla, as per Tuesday’s episode!
Izaiah Surprises Eva
Izaiah’s (Lami) been the dictionary definition of a good boyfriend lately – you know you’re doing good if Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) approves of you. Eva’s of course been on the receiving end of that devotion, but it seems Izaiah’s newest example is slated to catch Miss Eva off guard a little. Will Eva be pleased or annoyed with what Izzy Iz has in store? If it’s the former, he’s probably got a fresh batch of cornbread from Orphey Gene’s for her. If it’s the latter, it may have something to do with Kat!
Boyfriend No. 2
Heartless Hayley (Marquita Goings) never seems to have much to cry about – except for the fact that Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) still isn’t dead. (She’s been plying him with poison this side of 11 months now; isn’t it time to bring this arc to its conclusion?)
But spoilers tell us that Hayley will learn something that requires her to stock up on the Kleenex. What could possibly be so awful that it has tears running down Hayley’s face? Is she finally going to get caught in one of her schemes and attempt to ugly-cry her way out of it? Does some unfortunate fate befall Randy (Maurice P. Kerry)? (Hayley gives him crap, but they’re still blood, you know.) Or is she going to find out Bill is really dirt poor? (Not likely, but still a juicy idea.)
It’s not just anybody who would come to “model confessor” Dani (Karla Mosley) to ease their troubled conscience. But somebody’s in need of bending Dani’s perfectly shaped ear; it’s just a matter of figuring out who it is…and what this person who requires unburdening has to say. Does Chelsea or Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) have something to get off their chest? Will Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) not be able to go on until she extols Joey’s (Jon Lindstrom) latest batch of virtues?
(Seriously, girl…some designer glasses – extra strength – might not be uncalled for here.) Or – could it be – Andre’s (Sean Freeman) finally about to open up about his mad fling with Heather (Ashley Jones) that now has everyone in his life in her crosshairs?
Carlton Shocks Andre
Outside of living in the same area code (and its overlays), Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) and Andre really haven’t had much reason to interact with each other. Until they did! Looks like the plastic surgeon and the photographer are about to have something in common…and there’s only one thing it could be!
The smart money says that Andre will find out that Heather, er, did the Carlton. The Impaler certainly was busy last week getting her hooks into deeper and deeper layers of Fairmont Crest – will Andre be upset that Carlton basically just put his continued existence in danger by one-night-standing it with Heather? Or will he just be mad that they both bagged the same woman?
