Blake Berris is set to make his return to Days of Our Lives next week, playing the role of Everett, who is Jada’s ex-husband and Stephanie’s ex-boyfriend. In a recent statement, Berris expressed his excitement about coming back to the show and bringing this new character to life. “I am so excited to be rejoining the cast of @dayspeacock and bringing this new character by @carlivatiron to life.”
According to him, Everett is a significant departure from Nick Fallon, and he’s thrilled to be playing such a dream role. “Everett is a huge departure from Nick Fallon and a total dream come true to play as an actor. This story is a wild ride, so buckle your seatbelts. I would freak my wife out while she was driving because I was so shocked reading scripts.” He also thanked the fans for their warm welcome, “Thank you to all the fans for giving me such an incredibly warm welcome back to the world of daytime. You are the lifeblood of Days of our Lives and I love you all.” Berris also acknowledged his amazing co-stars, including Galen Gering (Rafe), Abigail Klein (Stephanie), Elia Cantu (Jada), Billy Flynn (Chad), Greg Rikaart (Leo), Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie), Bill Hayes (Doug) and Deidre Hall (Marlena). He then gave a special shoutout to the producers who brought sensitivity to the storyline. As for how long he’ll be around, Berris hinted, “You never know, but [I’m] still filming!“, and fans should expect a wild ride from his new character.
