Today is the day—soaps will never be the same as Beyond the Gates—viewers’ predicted new soap champion hit the CBS daytime airwaves! This new soap is set to shake things up and ahead of its premiere, the network serial The Bold and the Beautiful, which will share the daytime programming block, gave the show a little shoutout in its “Here’s a look ahead” weekend preview!
What happened? In a scene where newbie Daphne Rose (played by Murielle Hilaire) is seated with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor, The Bold and the Beautiful writer) at the fictional Il Giardino, she tells him, “You’ve built these gates, but I see beyond them.” This nod did not go unnoticed as Michele Val Jean, Beyond the Gates’ creator (and former Bold and Beautiful writer), acknowledged, “This is such a cool, sly shoutout. Thank you, Adam Dusevoir (B&B’s scriptwriter) and my Bold and Beautiful family for the constant support. See you Monday on the air!”
