The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Today, Friday, December 1, 2023
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Eric decides to host a grand gala in honor of his legacy and last collection. Steffy tells the family they will do whatever it takes to keep Eric happy, even if they have to pretend and withhold information.
B&B Recap Today
Eric expresses to Donna that there is a lot to accomplish within a short amount of time. Donna wishes he wouldn’t view things in that way, but Eric says he has to consider it. He doesn’t know how much time he has left. He has to organize his collection and plan a fantastic party.
Katie suggests that the party might not be a good idea, but Eric stands firm in his decision. He wants to host this one last incredible party for the family and says nobody else has to know about his condition. Eric requests Katie to gather everyone in the CEO office so he can make an announcement about the party. Donna wonders if he will take advantage of this opportunity to reveal to everyone that he is dying.
B&B Recap Today
RJ tells Steffy, Brooke, and Thomas that Eric is going to host a grand party. RJ points out that Eric doesn’t desire any tears or sadness; he just wants to celebrate.
Carter offers his support and reassures Ridge that he can confide in him. Ridge, who considers Carter as part of his family, eventually reveals a shocking truth to him. However, Ridge struggles to believe it himself. Carter finds it hard to accept that Eric is dying. Ridge explains that this is why RJ has been working so closely with Eric. Ridge has withheld the truth from Eric and is pretending not to know about his condition, as per Eric’s wishes. Carter expresses concern for Ridge’s well-being and asks how he is coping. Ridge reveals that he is putting on a facade and pretending not to know, in order to honor his father’s wishes.
B&B Recap Today
Carter expresses his appreciation for Eric’s kindness and support towards him, even when he was not deserving of it. Carter reveals that Eric took a big risk on him because he had little corporate experience. Ridge begs Carter to keep this a secret.
Later, Ridge, Brooke, RJ, and Thomas arrive and find out that Carter now knows about Eric. Carter informs Steffy and the others that Eric had sent over some documents, including the revised will and amendments to his power of attorney. Steffy surmises that her grandfather must be actively preparing for his death. Carter expresses his wish to be of more help, and the group discusses the upcoming party that Eric is planning. They are all apprehensive about how they will pretend to be happy at the event, but they agree that it is something they must do. Brooke receives a text from Katie, relaying that Eric wishes to see them all.
Donna suggests to Eric that he should be admitted to the hospital for further tests, but he refuses. Later, when their loved ones arrive, Eric welcomes them and they express their affection for him. Eric comments that they don’t so often, and then proposes that they throw a party filled with love and laughter. Everyone agrees to attend. Later, at home, Eric confides in Donna that he still wants to keep his illness a secret and is relieved that no one at the office noticed his hands shaking. He reminisces about his life with Stephanie and Brooke, and expresses his happiness for Donna. Suddenly, Eric begins to struggle, so Donna helps him sit down and gives him some water. However, he collapses shortly thereafter.
