The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Today, December 11, 2023:
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Finn delivers optimistic news to those at Eric’s hospital bedside. Ridge is forced to make the most difficult decision of his life.
B&B Recap Today
Eric has been rushed to the hospital. Donna wants to go inside with him but the doctor advises her to stay out. Outside, Donna prays to God to save him and perform a miracle. Brooke and Ridge arrive and the doctor informs Ridge that his father’s condition is extremely critical. The doctor allows them to go in to spend a moment with Eric. Donna talks to Eric and asks him to come back to her. She tells him that he is the kindest and sweetest man she knows and she needs him. Brooke sits by Eric’s bedside and expresses her love for him. She thanks him for always being there for her, supporting her, and championing her, and urges him to keep on fighting.
Ridge acknowledges that his father never wanted to see him crying at his bedside. He refers to him as the Great Eric Forrester, his dad, and his friend. Ridge expresses his love for his father, letting him know that he loves him very much.
B&B Recap Today
Bridget checks for an update from the hospital as the family worries. She understands that everyone wants to be at the hospital, but they need to give doctors and nurses space to do their jobs. Steffy, not ready to say goodbye, thinks that this cannot be the end. Bridget notes that Eric’s pulse is weak, which is not a good sign. Everyone agrees that waiting is unbearable. RJ thinks the party was a bad idea. Carter shares that he was worried when Eric figured out that Ridge won the fashion challenge, not him.
Hope and Thomas consult on how they are going to break this news to Douglas. Thomas promises they will get through this together. As Bridget is questioned about the chances of Eric making it through this, she reveals that she doesn’t thin there is anything that can be done.
B&B Recap Today
Steffy tries to reach Finn but he is not available. She decides to go to the hospital to see Eric. Upon arriving at the hospital, the nurse informs Steffy that Eric’s condition hasn’t improved. Finn appears and Steffy pleads with him to give her some hope about Eric’s condition. Finn expresses his regret at not having a certain answer and reveals that there is something important that she needs to know. He informs her that he has been working on a treatment for Eric since she first told him about his condition, which is why he missed the party and has been working late. As Brooke, Ridge, and Donna join them, Finn explains to them about the treatment, which is cutting-edge and experimental. He also mentions that it comes with a cost, and while there are no guarantees, it could possibly help improve Eric’s extremely critical condition. After explaining, Finn asks Ridge, who has Eric’s power of attorney, what he wants to do. Ridge notes that he loves his dad too much to pit him through all this. Ridge says they have to let him go and let him die in peace.
