What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Donna and Steffy fight with Ridge to do the right thing. Eric’s loved ones remember their best times together.

Finn asks Ridge for his decision since it is Ridge who has to make the final call. Ridge says that he loves his dad too much to put him through all this and they have to let him go. Donna pleads with Ridge to not make this decision and give Eric a chance to live. However, Ridge wants his father to go peacefully. Donna is not ready to accept this as the end for Eric and begs Ridge to consider Finn’s offer to save Eric. Finn explains that the procedure is experimental, and there are risks involved, but he believes it could make a change in Eric’s condition. However, he cannot assure them that the quality of life Eric was accustomed to would be maintained. Donna questions Ridge’s authority to decide whether Eric lives or dies. Ridge calls it unfair and tells Donna that he feels the same way, but his father is hooked up to too many machines, and he doesn’t want that for him. He also doesn’t want Eric to be in pain anymore. 

Steffy, Ridge, and the others enter Eric’s room, where Ridge points out that machines are keeping Eric breathing. Ridge recalls his father’s wish to go naturally and believes Eric wouldn’t want to be kept alive by the machines. Ridge suggests it’s time to say goodbye. Donna tells Brooke that Eric would want to be here and finish his collection with RJ. Steffy agrees. Ridge loves Finn’s idea, but he doesn’t want him to use his father as some human experiment. 

B&B Recap Today

At the office, Zende wonders why there is no update on Eric’s condition. Hope suggests they should wait a bit longer. Carter hopes that Eric is still alive. Hope suggests being prepared for the worst outcome, just in case. Zende disagrees and believes that Eric will keep fighting until he has no more strength left in him. However, Thomas reminds them that Eric’s condition may worsen at any moment. 

Hope believes that regardless of what happens to Eric, his legacy will continue. Carter is thinking about Ridge’s power of attorney status and the decision he has to make about Eric’s fate. Thomas finds it hard to imagine that his father has to make a life-and-death decision for Eric. Carter hopes it won’t come to that. Zende thinks they should all fight for Eric to honor his legacy.

During their conversation, Thomas mentions that Eric keeps a jar of jellybeans in his top drawer. Hope opens the drawer and finds it there. They joke about Eric’s impact on the fashion industry and his famous stapler. Later, Thomas shares his feelings of sadness with Hope. She reassures him that she is always there for him and will always support him.
