The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Today, December 14, 2023:
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Bridget and Thorne advocate for Eric against Ridge.
B&B Recap Today
Steffy, Donna, and Brooke try to convince Ridge to change his mind, as Eric’s eyes were flickering. Finn asks Ridge what he wants to do, and Brooke begs Ridge to give Eric a chance. Brooke advises Ridge to let Finn do what he can, and if it doesn’t work, at least they will know they did everything they could. Ridge tells Finn to proceed with the procedure, and Finn rushes out to prep. Meanwhile, Ridge apologizes to an unconscious Eric.
B&B Recap Today
RJ talks about his grandfather’s success and how much he loves him. He tells Luna and Poppy that his grandfather also has a funny side that not everyone gets to see. Poppy says it warms her heart to hear all the things he said about his grandfather. RJ thanks Poppy for coming to check on him and also thanks Luna for her support. Luna says she is always there for him. RJ gets an update from Thorne that he and Bridget are headed to the hospital. Luna and Poppy offer to go with RJ, but he says he wants to be there and doesn’t want to crowd the hospital. He wishes there is something someone can do to save Eric. Poppy says Eric sounds absolutely wonderful, and she cannot wait to meet him someday.
RJ asks how Poppy is enjoying her time in LA. Poppy responds that she is loving it, especially because she is close to her beautiful daughter. RJ shares that he has traveled extensively but never found a place he enjoyed more than LA. Poppy decides it’s time to leave but assures RJ that she will be nearby if he needs anything.
Thorne and Briget arrive at the hospital and learn that they are taking Eric off life support. Later, Steffy says she has a lot of faith in Finn. Brooke notes that Bridget was allowed in the OR. Thorne questions Ridge about what is happening and realizes that Ridge told Finn to take Eric off life support. Thorne is angry, but Ridge notes that Eric doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life hooked up to machines. Steffy reminds them that they need to be hopeful. Ridge says that he is the one who will have to live with the decision no matter what happens. Thorne unleashes his fury that Ridge was willing to let their father die when he has kids who haven’t seen him in quite a while.
In the operating room, Finn and Bridget are preparing for surgery. Bridget expresses her gratitude to Finn for allowing her to assist him in the procedure. Finn assures her that he will do his best to save Eric and create a miracle if necessary. While performing the surgery, Finn explains the process to Bridget. She appreciates his dedication to saving her father and comments that Steffy is lucky to have him as her husband. Something goes wrong and Finn desperately tries to save Eric as Bridget notes she cannot lose her father.
