The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, December 6, 2023:

What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Thorne and Bridget learn the truth about Eric’s medical condition. Hiding his illness, Eric kicks off his soiree, making a toast to his family.

B&B Recap Today

Ridge welcomes Thorne back to town. Thorne notes that not much has changed and he is looking forward to seeing everyone tonight at the party. He proceeds to question Ridge about what is going on. He wonders if everything is okay and Rigde tells him that their father is sick and he is dying but he doesn’t want anyone to know. Ridge informs Thorne that he must act as if he is unaware, leaving Thorne to wonder how he can possibly do that. Just then, Steffy enters the room and embraces Thorne who admits he was not expecting this and is not ready to let Eric go.

Katie, Hope, and Brooke are discussing plans to celebrate Eric tonight. Bridget arrives and asks about the party, wondering if it’s related to the launch of Eric’s new line. However, Brooke denies this and says she wishes it was. Bridget asks more questions. As she discovers the truth about her father’s health, she becomes emotional and asks if he has seen a specialist. Unfortunately, there is no cure for his illness. Hope sympathizes with her sister and the difficult situation they are in. Bridget reveals that she was excited to see her father, but now this news and now they all have to pretend that they don’t know the truth about his condition. Bridget is experiencing a mix of emotions and wonders how much time her father has left.

B&B Recap Today

RJ compliments Luna, saying she looks stunning. Zende wonders if everyone is aware of the truth about Eric, and Thomas is shocked to find out that Zende now knows too. He then apologizes to RJ for being too harsh on him earlier and says that he thinks it’s cool that he has been helping their grandfather. Carter joins them, and they all agree that it’s evident that Eric doesn’t believe he has much time left to live, hence the reason for the party.

B&B Recap Today

Eric admires Donna’s dress and compliments her. However, he starts coughing and Donna expresses concern about his ability to attend the party. Despite this, Donna helps Eric get dressed and assures him that he looks handsome. Shortly after, Katie arrives at the mansion and questions Eric’s decision to go ahead with the party. Eric insists that the party will go ahead as planned and rejects Katie’s suggestion to take him to the hospital. He is excited to see everyone and is determined to make it an unforgettable night.

Thorne and Bridget express their gratitude to RJ for the support he and Luna provided to their father. Carter admires Eric as an inspiration, and Ridge reminds everyone that they need to attend the party with a happy face and hide their grief. He also suggests not to attend if someone can’t control their emotions. Ridge knows that it won’t be easy, but they must bring joy and happiness to the party as that’s what Eric wants.

At the party, Eric is overjoyed to see his children Bridget and Thorne back in town. He expresses that his kids are the best thing that ever happened to him. After welcoming the guests, Eric delivers a speech and raises a toast. However, his hands start shaking, and they notice it, but Donna quickly takes the champagne glass from his hand to hide it.
