The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Today, January 8, 2024:
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Zende and R.J.’s argument about R.J.’s job at Forrester Creations escalates. Luna receives an anonymous invitation to a romantic dinner. Thomas attempts to sway Steffy to believe that he and Hope are good for each other.

Thomas is surprised when Finn warns him about Hope’s trust. Finn is skeptical about Thomas and advised Hope not to trust him. However, Thomas pleads with Finn to prevent Xander from driving a wedge between them as brothers-in-law and between him and Hope. He insists that Xander’s accusations are false and that Hope is not someone who needs saving from him.

Steffy meets with Thomas, and he tells her about his conversation with Finn. He had just received an earful from his brother-in-law and tells Steffy all about it. He begs Steffy to talk to Finn and convince him that he is not a threat to Hope.

Poppy brings Luna a latte. Luna wants to know how her mom’s date with Bill Spencer went. Poppy says it was lovely reconnecting with Bill and they really did know each other from years ago. Talk turns to RJ, who Luna admits that she really cares about him. A note slips through the crack of the door, and Luna opens it to find an invitation for her to join the anonymous person for dinner in the salon. She is convinced that it’s RJ. She notes that she is dressed for work and needs to find something to wear. Poppy reminds her that she works in a fashion house and can find something there. Poppy helps her daughter to pick out an outfit. She says the way Luna talks about RJ, she sounds like a girl in love, and she should enjoy it.
RJ meets with Zende in the CEO office. RJ tries to empathize with Zende’s feelings about RJ getting the job. RJ proposes that they work together. However, Zende reminds RJ that he is a draftsman, while RJ is a designer. Zende expresses his support for RJ’s interest in design, but he feels that RJ has been given more opportunities than anyone else around Forrester. Zende thinks this is because RJ is the son of Ridge and Brooke, whom he refers to as the “golden child.” RJ refuses to apologize for being their son. Zende doesn’t believe RJ has the necessary skills to work on the historic collection, but RJ disagrees. RJ argues that he has worked closely with Eric and has the skills to handle the collection. The conversation gets heated, and RJ leaves in a hurry, claiming he has other plans.
RJ visits the hospital and finds out that his grandfather is not there, but he is getting stronger every day. The nurse calls RJ a wonderful grandson to visit so often. Meanwhile, Luna arrives for her date and discovers that the invitation came from Zende and not RJ.
Meanwhile, Xander reads stories about Hope and Thomas’s relationship and remembers his conversation with Finn about Thomas being responsible for Emma’s death. Xander decides to visit Finn’s office again to reiterate that Thomas is dangerous.
