Steffy and Carter Wake Up to a Nightmare
Finn kept having flashbacks to the events that unfolded while they were in Monaco, promising himself that he had to get back to LA to save his marriage. While that was going down, Deacon and Taylor got a chance to talk about her turning down his proposal.
All the while, the cleaning crew was knocking on the door as Steffy woke up from her sleep. To her horror, she found herself undressed with Carter on the couch. Steffy immediately panicked and woke Carter up, calling the night a stupid mistake. “Oh my God!” she said. “How could we let this happen?” Steffy checked her phone and realized Finn had sent her a bunch of texts, which sent her into an even bigger panic. As they scrambled to get dressed, she told Carter that no one could see them like this, relieved to find the door was locked.
Daphne Wants Carter Back
Carter reminds her that people make mistakes, especially when they’re drunk. Steffy doesn’t want to talk about it, though. Instead, she races for the door and tells him she has to get out of there. Carter gets fully dressed and cleans the place up to a T just as Daphne arrives. He thought she was on her way to Paris, but she reveals she checked in at the airport, made it to the gate, and then started thinking about what she was leaving behind. She realized she couldn’t leave that life behind after all. “I couldn’t leave you, Carter,” she reveals.
Finn Admits He Messed Up
Steffy arrives home, and her mom is surprised to see her. Steffy explains that plans changed and asks about the kids, but then says she’s going to take a shower. Taylor notices something is off and asks if everything is okay. Steffy says it is, but promises she’ll only be a minute.
Later, Daphne tells Carter she made a terrible mistake and hopes he can forgive her as she rushes into his arms. Meanwhile, after taking a shower, Steffy updates her mom about Sheila showing up in Monaco. Taylor notices Steffy isn’t wearing her wedding ring, so Steffy explains she took it off and threw it at Finn. Right on cue, Finn races in and apologizes for making a terrible mistake, begging for her forgiveness. “Steffy, please, can you forgive me?” he asks.
