The Bold and the Beautiful has always delivered the drama. Big twists, messy love triangles, and moments that come out of nowhere. After 39 years, that’s part of what keeps fans watching. But sometimes, things move a little too fast.
And right now, fans think that’s exactly what just happened with Dylan.
Did Dylan Rush Those Three Words?
In a recent episode, Dylan came home after her first day working at Forrester Creations and filled Will in on everything. Wanting to make the moment special, Will surprised her with a cupcake and a candle and asked her to make a wish.
It was a sweet moment. No one can deny that.
But then came the moment that had fans talking. Dylan told Will those three words, “I Love You.”
Will didn’t say it back, but you could tell he was feeling something. Still, for a lot of viewers, it just felt like it happened way too soon.
Fans Sound Off on Dylan’s ILY
Fans didn’t hold back, taking to social media to share their thoughts.
One fan wrote on Reddit, “Too soon sadly, but I think that Will is falling for her too that special little cupcake celebration that he did for her was adorable! The way that she appreciates him more than Electra ever has. I see the sparks.”
Another said, “I see sparks, too, but I think Dylan’s gonna blow it by not being honest with Will about what Ivy did. And Ivy will hold it over Dylan’s head any time she thinks Dylan is stepping out of line. Hope I’m wrong because I think Will and Dylan have a lot of chemistry.”
A third fan shared, “The ILY was definitely too soon. The show always rushes everything. It would be nice if they let things develop at a more natural pace. What’s the rush? There are 200+ episodes a year. No need to ‘get it over.’”
Another added, “Agree. The writers never let a relationship develop on this show. There’s no buildup to make viewers excited when it finally happens. I wouldn’t be surprised if the writers have Dylan proposing by Friday. lol.”
And one more fan chimed in, “Too soon and we know he loves Electra but I love that he’s more like his mom with an anchor of right and wrong and refusing to kick Dylan out until she had somewhere steady. All Electra had to do was invite Dylan to live with her or pay to put her up somewhere else. I’ll never get over Dylan and Will sitting there after babysitting that night and him telling her stuff and crying! I was like he doesn’t do that with Electra??”
Sparks or Trouble Ahead?
Even with the criticism, fans aren’t completely against the pairing. Many still see chemistry between Dylan and Will. But there’s also concern that rushing things could ruin what might actually be a good story.
And let’s not forget, Electra is still part of the picture. Will hasn’t gotten over her. Probably never will.
