Baby on board! The Atkinson household is about to get a little bit bigger. Matthew Atkinson, who fans know and love as Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, is officially going to be a girl dad.
In a sweet joint Instagram post, Matthew and his wife, actress Brytnee Ratledge Atkinson, shared the big news with their followers. The photo shows Matthew with his hands resting on Brytnee’s growing baby bump. The caption kept it simple and cute. It read, “Baby Girl Atkinson loading…“
This is such an exciting time for the couple. Their love story originally started at the gym before they reconnected later on social media. They eventually tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Lake Tahoe on November 8, 2023. Not long after, in July 2024, they announced they were expecting their first child. That little one, a boy, arrived just in time for Thanksgiving that year, and now they are getting ready to welcome a daughter into the mix.

As soon as the news hit social media, Matthew’s colleagues and friends flooded the comment section to celebrate. Kimberlin Brown, who plays the notorious Sheila Carter, chimed in with, “Omg!!! So excited!!” Courtney Hope, known for her role as Sally Spectra, also sent over a quick “congrats.“
The love didn’t stop there. Ashley Jones, who plays Bridget Forrester and recently joined the cast of Beyond the Gates, wrote, “Omgoodness. Y’all.” Even the show’s Co-Executive Producer, Casey Kasprzyk, jumped in with plenty of enthusiasm, saying, “Helllloooooooooo!!!!!! Wow! Best news. Congrats.”
