B&B Recap December 12: Wedding Reception
It’s the reception, and everyone is thrilled for the newlyweds. Of course, people stop to congratulate the newly married couple, and they’re all telling Beth how much she absolutely crushed it. She keeps insisting she wasn’t even nervous. Liam still can’t believe they’re actually married as they kiss.
Will begs for everyone’s attention and raises his glass to his brother Liam and his beautiful wife. Glasses clink, and smiles take over the room.
The Toasts
Beth and the kids get everyone’s attention. Beth thanks everyone for coming, saying her parents really love each other. Kelly adds that it makes her happy to see her dad happy. Douglas notices the smile on his mom’s face, and says that’s all he wants—just for her to be happy.
Deacon gives a toast. Katie follows, and then Donna too. They say they couldn’t be prouder to be her aunts. Deacon adds that it was a wonderful wedding and says he’s grateful his kids only got the good parts of him.
Bill steps in next, praising his son for all the changes he’s made. He raises a glass to Liam and his beautiful bride. Brooke joins in as well, pointing out that her daughter’s name says it all. She cherishes her daughter to the moon and back.
The guests take pictures, while Deacon and Bill chat and the Logan sisters catch up. Liam gives his speech, thanking everyone for coming to witness their big day. He gives special thanks to his wife, saying he didn’t think it was possible to be more in love with her than the last time they did this—but apparently, it is. He raises his glass and toasts to his wife.
Hope gives hers in return. She’s not sure how she can top that, so she keeps it short and sweet. Then they cut the cake and feed each other.
Later, Bill admires Will and Electra. He tells Katie that the Spencer men are winning in the romance department. She couldn’t agree more. He adds that after today, only one thing would make it better—and that’s her marrying him right tonight.
Steffy Updates Taylor
Taylor gets a call that her patient is sick, so they suddenly have the day off. Before that call came in, they were talking about Ridge, so they pick the conversation back up. Steffy admits her dad is feeling really guilty.
As far as Steffy knows, they haven’t spoken since the retirement party. However, Eric showed up at the office, and Ridge went to talk to him. Taylor wonders how that’s going.
Ridge seemed surprised that Eric was even in the building. Taylor wonders if he’s just there to pick up some of his things. Whatever the reason, Steffy hopes they get the chance to clear the air.
Eric Says No
At the office, Ridge tells his dad that if he wants to be there, he should be. Ridge thought he wanted to step back and slow down a bit, but if he wants to keep going, then they should do this together. He even invites his dad to finish the line with him.
However, Eric turns him down. Eric admits that his ego was a little bruised, but he’s going to give retirement a try. He says he’s happy his son is running the company. He reminds Ridge that Forrester is his legacy, too.
Eric notes that he’s had a long run and has done so much with Ridge, which has been the best part of it. He’s thought about it a lot and figures maybe it’s time for Ridge to take the reins without him. Maybe today’s the day—Forrester Creations is run by Ridge and Brooke.
Eric notes that fashion is in his blood, so the retirement thing may not be forever.
