B&B Recap December 3: Ridge Reveals a Surprise Party
Ridge is at the office finishing a call about the projections when Brooke walks in. She asks if everything’s alright. He says it is, but he’s gotta finish the jewelry line.
She tells him everything will be a fabulous success and leans in to kiss him. Ridge says she always knows the right thing to say.
She then brings up the surprise retirement party for Eric. Just then, Eric and Donna walk in, and Brooke says they were just talking about him. Eric jokes that, judging by their faces, he can’t tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
Suddenly, they hear a loud noise from across the hall and wonder if that’s Bill.
Ridge handles another call as he confirms that Bill is in the building. Donna says it makes sense since Bill and Katie are back together. Ridge doesn’t think anything makes sense when it comes to Bill.
He doesn’t even understand why Katie went back to him. Brooke begs him to just let it go, but Ridge says he can’t as he heads out to confront Bill.
Ridge Confronts Bill
Bill raises his voice as he reminds Katie that she’s one of the best people he knows, yet she’s being treated like some underdog at the company. Katie admits he’s right.
She’s given everything to the company, and they still went behind her back and hired a PR firm. Bill urges her to leave Forrester Creations and come to Spencer Publications instead, her real family company.
Katie points out that she does have family at the company, but Bill reminds her that Brooke is a “Ridge first” person. Ridge walks in, and Bill says, “Speak of the devil.” Ridge asks why he’s there, and Bill explains that he came to defend the woman he loves.
Bill points out that Katie has given everything to the company, yet they still went behind her back and hired a PR firm. Ridge reminds him that nothing that happens at FC is Bill’s business, and they only did it because Katie already had a lot going on.
Bill calls out the way Katie’s been treated, saying Ridge shows her disrespect and a lack of appreciation. Ridge turns to Katie, asking if that’s really how she feels. Katie admits she has felt disregarded.
Ridge insists they admire what she does. Bill jumps in, but Ridge cuts him off, saying he doesn’t have time for him. He apologizes for how Katie feels, but tells her not to listen to Bill because he’ll just put foolish thoughts in her head. Ridge notes he has work to do and reminds them this is a fashion house, not a battlefield, they should take this somewhere else. He heads out and tells Bill to go home.
At Spencer Publications
Bill and Katie head over to Spencer Publications. He’s still upset about how Ridge handled things. Katie appreciates him defending her, but she doesn’t think him getting so worked up is helping. Bill apologizes, but she tells him he has nothing to apologize for, she just needs time to think. At the end of the day, Bill tells her it’s up to her and what she wants.
Eric Wants to Talk to Ridge Alone
Brooke points out how much Ridge is doing at the company, and Eric says he should probably help out. Ridge comes back in and mentions that Bill is over there going on about how Katie is being mistreated at the company.
Eric then asks for a moment with his son. Ridge says he doesn’t have time, but Eric insists. The women step out, and Eric asks if his son is really too busy to talk to the founder of the company.
Eric says he doesn’t want to feel like a guest in his own building. Before he can finish his sentence, the phone rings. Ridge answers — it’s Angela with an update. After the call, Ridge tells Eric to go on, but then another text comes in. He checks it quickly.
Afterward, Eric explains that while Ridge went to talk to Bill, he took a look at the sketches. He says they’re great, but Ridge didn’t have to handle all of this alone. Ridge wonders what exactly his dad is getting at.
Eric makes his case. He wants to help Ridge. He wants to work with him on this line — like father and son. “Let’s make history,” Eric says.
Brooke and Donna in the Showroom
Brooke and Donna look over the designs in the showroom. Donna thinks they’re beautiful and that Ridge has really outdone himself. Ridge has been putting a lot of pressure on himself. Brooke says Ridge is never satisfied until everything is perfect.
Brooke points out how much Ridge is juggling right now. Donna reminds her that Brooke and Steffy have been helping out. They have — but when it comes to the artistry, it’s all Ridge. Donna says Ridge doesn’t have to do this alone. Eric is the founder, and he’s just as brilliant as Ridge… maybe even better.
Donna reveals that Eric has been doing sketches and designs at home. He wants to be part of the couture design team, which surprises Brooke.
