Bradford Anderson and Steve Burton used their weekly podcast, That’s Awesome with Steve & Bradford, to address the recent confirmation of Burton’s departure from General Hospital due to non compliance with the on set vaccine mandate.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Anderson said, “But like all friends, we have disagreements. And I disagree with Steve’s decision. He knows that, but over our years of friendship we’ve had plenty of discussions about well, things like this and other topics and yes, sometimes we agree, sometimes we don’t, but at the end of the day we are still friends.”

Burton agreed, adding, “And that’s like the greatest thing for me and what we do. It’s that we are friends first and we have great respect for each other.”

Burton went on to say that he has been approached by media outlets, “I’ve gotten a lot of requests for interviews that I don’t want to do because I don’t want division. That’s the bottom line.” He went on to add that he has already had other doors opened to him without specifying what, exactly, his future plans are and also addressed his fans feelings about the circumstance surrounding his departure, “I know people are frustrated. I know people are angry, I know all these things. Just so you know, I’m OK.”

The friends were in good spirits throughout their podcast and talked about their plans for future comedy shows and collaborations for their fans. Bradford said he will continue to appear on GH and Burton said that, for now at least, fans can continue to look forward to their weekly podcasts and lots of content for their Patreon subscribers.
